Wilma Cowie was the matriarch of our maple sugar bush.  It was her land and her 1880's sugar house where our current maple farm is located today.  She spent countless nights at the sugar house over the years, stacking wood, stoking the fire and producing maple syrup.  She was part of the operation until well into her eighties and fearlessly walked from her house through the woods to the sugar house about a quarter mile in the dark with nothing but a lantern.  Wilma passed a few years ago.  Her maiden name was Wells, so we created this branding to honor her.  It's very similar to our own Mansfield Maple label, but with a beautiful gold leaf in the middle.  Currently, the Wells Brand of maple syrup is only available for purchase from select retailers.
