2026 First Run Maple Syrup
On March 8th we produced the highly sought after First Run Syrup! This is super exciting as this year's First Run Syrup is truly exceptional. It's thicker and silkier than we usually see, with a beautiful rich sweet taste with tones of vanilla and delicate maple. The color is Amber Rich, with a flavor profile that fits Golden Delicate grade. To be honest, I'm stunned with how clean and complex the flavor is. It might just be my favorite First Run Syrup yet! -Chris
Every year, after the sap lines are flushed out by the first few spring thaws and the evaporator pans have been seasoned, we enjoy what we call First Run Maple Syrup.
This early season boil is when the trees finally thaw out and truly gush sap for the first time. Highly sought-after, this first run always has unique and amazing flavor. It’s our signal that the maple sugaring season is here! The smell inside and outside the sugar house as we boil this First Run Syrup is incredible. There is an excitement and anticipation as we draw this off the evaporator as the flavor of first run is unique from year to year, yet always in a class of its own.
First Run Syrup is a limited production run and packed exclusively in the half gallon size container. A portion sales will be donated to Kodi's Club Canine Rescue -Chris & Lindsay
